What the Hell?!

Posted on August 2, 2013 at 11:40 PM

I am sad today. Last night someone's true colors were shown to me. I didn't want to see their true colors. I deeply care about this person, and I hoped that things would work out. But it became painfully clear that it was all a lie. What makes people pretend to be something they are not? This person always talked about Jesus, always talked about faith. But I didn't see faith in them, I didn't see God in first I thought I did, but the more I got to know this person the less I saw God in them. I saw someone after their own desires, no matter the cost. They agreed with the majority. They had no root within themselves, even now I'm cannot believe them. I do think there is a love for God, yet when I talked about God they would attack everything I said, and turn everything around on me. I couldn't even bring it up in the nicest of ways, it would instantly start a fight. But I felt God's Spirit prodding me to talk about it. I am done with this person, everything is strife with them. They have anger issues that are deep rooted. I don't wish to ever talk to them again. And that makes me feel very bad, because I still care deeply for them, but I realize they are not good for me. I have been treated worse by women that have claimed to be Christian. I have never dated a woman that didn't claim to be a Christian. And yet I've been used, I've been tossed aside and lied to, betrayed in one way or another. Even now I cannot believe the overwhelming evidence of bad fruit that followed them. Each time I met these women I thought wow, and they came into my life, turned it upside down and kicked me to the curb. I feel like Eric Foreman from that 70's show. Kelso, What the Hell?! I feel like I've been under a spiritual attack for about two months. I was in what I thought was a wonderful relationship that went sour. It made my head spin. I fell for what I thought was dr. Jeckel and got MS. HYDE. I have huge doudts about dating, are all women crazy? I don't say that against women. I dearly love them, but Kelso, WHAT THE HELL!? I serioulsy have bad taste in women. Maybe this spiritual attack is because of all my blogs. I have only been really getting into them since about last Halloween, but it's like a burning in my soul. I actually pushed down my conviction about Jesus' name baptism and the godhead as to not bump heads. But latley it's like fire shut up in my bones. And though I had had doudts in the past that it even mattered. I really feel that the Holy Spirit and God's word have proven to me beyond the shadow of doudt the truth concerning this. My thoughts, how could people not see something that is clear in scripture. It's as plain on the nose on my face. Yet people cannot see it. They'll look at the scripture, even word for word, and yet they still cannot see it. I didn't understand. II CORINTHIANS 4:1-6 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. LUKE 8:5-15 A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it. And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture. And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it. And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be? And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand. Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away. And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection. But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

The Revelation of Jesus Christ

The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:

Revelation, a revealing of future events. The apocolypse. The final curtain. This book has drove more men crazy, and fascinated the human race since it's conception.

In this book John reveals to us that this same Jesus that was crucified and rose from the dead will return as Yahweh. The old testament prophets that speak of the day of the LORD refer to God coming to earth and fighting for Isreal are now represented by Jesus Christ. As the almighty.

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

Most of the newer translations actually omit the the phrase the beginning and the ending. Which is in the origanal Greek text here. Alpha and Omega, are the first (Alpha) and the last (last) letters in the great alphabet.

and just down a little further in verse 11 we read.

I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.

The alpha and omega are omitted from most of the newer texts. And this also is in the origanal Greek. This appears in the King James and New King James translations, but not in most of the newer translations. Which is one reason I personally do not care for the newer translations. I do use them as a cross reference only.

And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

As you can read by the text, John was calling Jesus Christ the Lord God and the almighty. He did not hear two voices. He turned to see the great voice that spoke to him. And whom did he see? The resurrected and now glorified as God almighty Jesus Christ who was one like unto the son of man.

The first thing he mentions are seven Christian churches in Asia minor. This was meant to be first sent to them. God had something personal to say to these specific churches, which are a representation of the body of Christ today as well as throughout time.

Lets start with current theory of the end times. This is what the church, for the most part believes as a time-line of events.

1. rapture-(Jesus comes secretly to remove his church)

2. Anti-Christ signs 7 year peace pact with isreal

3. Anti-Christ causes all the world to recieve the mark (666)

4. Anti-Christ breaks peace pact with isreal, places a mock idol in the temple of God and then sits in the temple and proclaims himself to be God.

5. All nations gather together in Megiddo (Armegeddon) and Jesus returns.

Most Christians believe this basic scenerio of events.

Jesus in Matthew actually walked his deciples through the events in revelation and is recorded in Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21. It is therefore a truthful statement to say that Revelation will follow Jesus' end time description in the gospels.

Revelation describes seven seals, seven trumpets and seven vials or bowles depending on your translation. Some follow the events described in revelation one after another. But after much study I have come to believe that the seals, trumpets and vials are not coming one after another, but each are showing us events starting some time in the beginning during the seven years of tribulation and ending near or at the return of Jesus Christ.

There are key events that occur in all three as well as in the gospels.

Let us start with the issues that are not agreed upon. Some view Revelation as all symbolic. There certainly are things in revelation that are symbolic, but not all things are. Jesus described the moon turning to darkness, the prophet Joel described this same moon turning to blood, and in the 6th seal we find this same description.

God shadowed the old testament with the new. The tabernacle, man's approach to God. Was a like mannner of the sacrifce (Jesus dying on the cross), the washing (baptism) and going into the holy of holies (gift fo the Holy Spirit).

God sent down literal plagues upon Egypt. And God was able to make a difference between his people and the Egyptians. One of the verses used to try and prove a pre-rapture theory is that we are not appointed to wrath. 1 Thessalonians 5:9. This is totally true. Yet totally misunderstood. God did not remove the Hebrews prior to them leaving Egypt, no, but rather made a distinction between them for the world to see. Believe me God is not going to remove the church, this is why Jesus keeps telling us this calls for patience of the saints.

After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.

There are Christians that take this verse as being the rapture. This verse does not give us that. It doesn't say it's anyting but what it is. John is taken in the spirit and shown things that must be thereafter.

The pre-tribluation theory cannot be proven in scripure, and actually scripture proves it wrong. There is no biblical basis for it at all. It is a presumption, and then they finally will tell you that you must take it on faith, much the same thing we are told about the trinity, that it's something we should take on faith. Yet there is nothing in scripture to back it up.

Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

It goes on to describe the man of sin, the antichrist. This is one of few verses that actually talk directly about the rapture, which is not a word used in scripture, but rather a gathering of the saints. Rapture being a modern term used to describe this event.

You will notice that he calls it the day of Christ, not days, there is no mention of a secret rapture here or anywhere in the bible. It concludes by telling us that this day will not occur until the falling away occurs, this has become known as the great apostasy. A time when people fall away from the truth of the bible and the Antichrist to be reavealed. I can tell that in the past 30 years I have witnessed Christianty going more by the way side, even most Christians not believing in sound doctrine, and many, many Christians leaving the faith.

Jesus tells us directly when this event will occur in Matthew.

MATTHEW 42:29-31

Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

There is the trumpet, the last trumpet which is the seventh trumpet in revelations. Also, the moon not giving her light, the sun not giving her light and the stars falling from heaven which occurs during the 6th seal in Revelation.

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

All these scriptures telling us of the same event, which will happen at the seventh (the last trump) when Christ himself returns. This will be a witnessed event, the whole word will see the Lord. And when one is taken and another left there will not be any doudt where they went.

We are going to meet the Lord as he comes, and we will be arriving with him and all his angels.

Secular Evidence

II TIMOTHY 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. The biblical evidence of baptism in the name of Jesus Christ is clear, But what about an historical account. It is sad that not even Christians will take the word of God for what it says, but since there are those that don't lets turn to secular history... Encyclopedia of Religion and Ethics (1951). II, 384, 389: "The formula used was "in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ" or some synonymous phrase; there is no evidence for the use of the trine name… The earliest form, represented in the Acts, was simple immersion… in water, the use of the name of the Lord, and the laying on of hands. To these were added, at various times and places which cannot be safely identified Interpreter's Dictionary of the Bible (1962), I 351: "The evidence… suggests that baptism in early Christianity was administered, not in the threefold name, but 'in the name of Jesus Christ' or 'in the name of the Lord Jesus.'" Otto Heick, A History of Christian Thought (1965), I, 53: "At first baptism was administered in the name of Jesus, but gradually in the name of the Triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Hasting's Dictionary of the Bible (1898). I, 241: "[One explanation is that] the original form of words was "into the name of Jesus Christ" or 'the Lord Jesus,' Baptism into the name of the Trinity was a later development." Williston Walker, A History of the Christian Church (1947), page 58: "The trinitarian baptismal formula,,, was displacing the older baptism in the name of Christ." The New Schaff-Herzog Encyclopedia of Religious Knowledge (1957), I, 435: "The New Testament knows only baptism in the name of Jesus… which still occurs even in the second and third centuries." Canney's Encyclopedia of Religions (1970), page 53: "Persons were baptized at first 'in the name of Jesus Christ' … or 'in the name of the Lord Jesus'… Afterwards, with the development of the doctrine of the Trinity, they were baptized 'in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost.'" Encyclopedia Biblica (1899), I, 473: "It is natural to conclude that baptism was administered in the earliest times 'in the name of Jesus Christ,' or in that 'of the Lord Jesus.' This view is confirmed by the fact that the earliest forms of the baptismal confession appear to have been single-not triple, as was the later creed." Encyclopedia Britannica, 11th ed. (1920), II 365: "The trinitarian formula and trine immersion were not uniformly used from the beginning… Bapti[sm] into the name of the Lord [was] the normal formula of the New Testament. In the 3rd century baptism in the name of Christ was still so widespread that Pope Stephen, in opposition to Cyprian of Carthage, declared it to be valid." The Encyclopedia of Religion and Ethics:As to Matthew 28:19, it says: It is the central piece of evidence for the traditional (Trinitarian) view. If it were undisputed, this would, of course, be decisive, but its trustworthiness is impugned on grounds of textual criticism, literary criticism and historical criticism. The same Encyclopedia further states that: "The obvious explanation of the silence of the New Testament on the triune name, and the use of another (JESUS NAME) formula in Acts and Paul, is that this other formula was the earlier, and the triune formula is a later addition." Edmund Schlink, The Doctrine of Baptism, page 28:"The baptismal command in its Matthew 28:19 form can not be the historical origin of Christian baptism. At the very least, it must be assumed that the text has been transmitted in a form expanded by the [Catholic] church." The Tyndale New Testament Commentaries, I, 275: "It is often affirmed that the words in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost are not the ipsissima verba [exact words] of Jesus, but...a later liturgical addition." Wilhelm Bousset, Kyrios Christianity, page 295: "The testimony for the wide distribution of the simple baptismal formula [in the Name of Jesus] down into the second century is so overwhelming that even in Matthew 28:19, the Trinitarian formula was later inserted." The Catholic Encyclopedia, II, page 263: "The baptismal formula was changed from the name of Jesus Christ to the words Father, Son, and Holy Spirit by the Catholic Church in the second century." Hastings Dictionary of the Bible 1963, page 1015: "The not demonstrable by logic or by Scriptural proofs,...The term Trias was first used by Theophilus of Antioch (c AD 180),...(The term Trinity) not found in Scripture..." "The chief Trinitarian text in the NT is the baptismal formula in Mt 28:19...This late post-resurrection saying, not found in any other Gospel or anywhere else in the NT, has been viewed by some scholars as an interpolation into Matthew. It has also been pointed out that the idea of making disciples is continued in teaching them, so that the intervening reference to baptism with its Trinitarian formula was perhaps a later insertion into the saying. Finally, Eusebius's form of the (ancient) text ("in my name" rather than in the name of the Trinity) has had certain advocates. (Although the Trinitarian formula is now found in the modern-day book of Matthew), this does not guarantee its source in the historical teaching of Jesus. It is doubtless better to view the (Trinitarian) formula as derived from early (Catholic) Christian, perhaps Syrian or Palestinian, baptismal usage (cf Didache 7:1-4), and as a brief summary of the (Catholic) Church's teaching about God, Christ, and the Spirit:..." The Schaff-Herzog Encyclopedia of Religious Knowledge:"Jesus, however, cannot have given His disciples this Trinitarian order of baptism after His resurrection; for the New Testament knows only one baptism in the name of Jesus (Acts 2:38; 8:16; 10:43; 19:5; Gal. 3:27; Rom. 6:3; 1 Cor. 1:13-15), which still occurs even in the second and third centuries, while the Trinitarian formula occurs only in Matt. 28:19, and then only again (in the) Didache 7:1 and Justin, Apol. 1:61...Finally, the distinctly liturgical character of the strange; it was not the way of Jesus to make such formulas... the formal authenticity of Matt. 28:19 must be disputed..." page 435. The Jerusalem Bible, a scholarly Catholic work, states:"It may be that this formula, (Triune Matthew 28:19) so far as the fullness of its expression is concerned, is a reflection of the (Man-made) liturgical usage established later in the primitive (Catholic) community. It will be remembered that Acts speaks of baptizing "in the name of Jesus,"..." The International Standard Bible Encyclopedia, Vol. 4, page 2637, Under "Baptism," says: "Matthew 28:19 in particular only canonizes a later ecclesiastical situation, that its universalism is contrary to the facts of early Christian history, and its Trinitarian formula (is) foreign to the mouth of Jesus." New Revised Standard Version says this about Matthew 28:19: "Modern critics claim this formula is falsely ascribed to Jesus and that it represents later (Catholic) church tradition, for nowhere in the book of Acts (or any other book of the Bible) is baptism performed with the name of the Trinity..." James Moffett's New Testament Translation:In a footnote on page 64 about Matthew 28:19 he makes this statement: "It may be that this (Trinitarian) formula, so far as the fullness of its expression is concerned, is a reflection of the (Catholic) liturgical usage established later in the primitive (Catholic) community, It will be remembered that Acts speaks of baptizing "in the name of Jesus, cf. Acts 1:5 +." Tom Harpur: Tom Harpur, former Religion Editor of the Toronto Star in his "For Christ's sake," page 103 informs us of these facts: "All but the most conservative scholars agree that at least the latter part of this command [Triune part of Matthew 28:19] was inserted later. The [Trinitarian] formula occurs nowhere else in the New Testament, and we know from the only evidence available [the rest of the New Testament] that the earliest Church did not baptize people using these words ("in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost") baptism was "into" or "in" the name of Jesus alone. Thus it is argued that the verse originally read "baptizing them in My Name" and then was expanded [changed] to work in the [later Catholic Trinitarian] dogma. In fact, the first view put forward by German critical scholars as well as the Unitarians in the nineteenth century, was stated as the accepted position of mainline scholarship as long ago as 1919, when Peake's commentary was first published: "The Church of the first days (AD 33) did not observe this world-wide (Trinitarian) commandment, even if they knew it. The command to baptize into the threefold [Trinity] name is a late doctrinal expansion." The Bible Commentary 1919 page 723: Dr. Peake makes it clear that: "The command to baptize into the threefold name is a late doctrinal expansion. Instead of the words baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost we should probably read simply-"into My Name." Theology of the New Testament:By R. Bultmann, 1951, page 133 under Kerygma of the Hellenistic Church and the Sacraments. The historical fact that the verse Matthew 28:19 was altered is openly confesses to very plainly. "As to the rite of baptism, it was normally consummated as a bath in which the one receiving baptism completely submerged, and if possible in flowing water as the allusions of Acts 8:36, Heb. 10:22, Barn. 11:11 permit us to gather, and as Did. 7:1-3 specifically says. According to the last passage, [the apocryphal Catholic Didache] suffices in case of the need if water is three times poured [false Catholic sprinkling doctrine] on the head. The one baptizing names over the one being baptized the name of the Lord Jesus Christ," later expanded [changed] to the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit." Doctrine and Practice in the Early Church: By Dr. Stuart G. Hall 1992, pages 20 and 21. Professor Stuart G. Hall was the former Chair of Ecclesiastical History at King's College, London England. Dr. Hall makes the factual statement that Catholic Trinitarian Baptism was not the original form of Christian Baptism, rather the original was Jesus name baptism. "In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit," although those words were not used, as they later are, as a formula. Not all baptisms fitted this rule." Dr Hall further, states: "More common and perhaps more ancient was the simple, "In the name of the Lord Jesus or, Jesus Christ." This practice was known among Marcionites and Orthodox; it is certainly the subject of controversy in Rome and Africa about 254, as the anonymous tract De rebaptismate ("On rebaptism") shows." The Beginnings of Christianity: The Acts of the Apostles Volume 1, Prolegomena 1: The Jewish Gentile, and Christian Backgrounds by F. J. Foakes Jackson and Kirsopp Lake 1979 version pages 335-337. "There is little doubt as to the sacramental nature of baptism by the middle of the first century in the circles represented by the Pauline Epistles, and it is indisputable in the second century. The problem is whether it can in this (Trinitarian) form be traced back to Jesus, and if not what light is thrown upon its history by the analysis of the synoptic Gospels and Acts. There are plenty more but I think you get the idea, The "FACT" is abundantly clear that baptism is biblically and historically in the name of Jesus Christ. Baptism using the triune formula was not started by Jesus or his apostles... It was added later on. I JOHN 2:19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us. GALATIANS 1:6-12 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. So what then was the gospel that was preached by the apostles: ACTS 2:37-39 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call. ACTS 22:16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord. ROMANS 10:8-15 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! JOHN 3:3-8 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. Again I'm going to give you our scripture text for this week. II TIMOTHY 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. The bible does say, if you call upon the name of the Lord you will be saved. It also says that you cannot enter the kindgom of God unless your born of water and of the Spirit. This is where rightly dividing the word comes in. If you will notice in Acts 22:16 after Paul is told to arise and be baptized he is told to call upon the name of the Lord. Once we are baptized into Christ we belong to him and can call upon his name and he will fill us with his Spirit. And thus all the scripritures are fullfilled. Because as John 3:16 says whoever belives in him"Should" not perish but have everlasting life. JOHN 7:37-39 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

MATTHEW 21:22 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. MARK 13:19-20 For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall bE. And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days. LUKE 21:22 For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. LUKE 21:25-26 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. There is a scare abroad about the END OF THE WORLD. This is an avoided subject. From world war II to the 1980's the world was consumed with the idea of self annilation. We have the power to destroy our selves. It doesn't seem to be quite the threat though as it was did. The concern now seems to be with natural disaster. Earthquakes, Super volcanos, an ice age, globel warming. Man I would hate to be an athiest. Can you just imagine. Those that are not believers are subject to the end of life. The end of days, the end period. Death is your ultimate result. When your dead that's it. I'd be hoping to live as long as humanly possible, cause when you die, your DEAD! I wouldn't want the world to end either. Do you realize how short life is. AT 40, I'm beginning to know that feeling. At 20, 25, even 30 your own mortality isn't much of a thought. But as you see time just slip by and 10 years is only a breath away, you realize that one day death will be knocking at your door. Athiests don't care to much for Christians, because we talk about Hell. Why would that bother them if they don't believe. I'd be concerned with the fact that life is just a vapor and is over when it's really just begun. Life is the most unfair proposition there is. There are some that live into their 90's, more in the 80's, and most people seem to die somewhere in their 70's. That's not much time. I have to marvel and how quick 5 years goes by. Think about it for just a moment. It's Christmas time, next thing you know it's summer and your half way to Christmas time again. This was a wait when you were a kid. But it's not long at all. Think about how fast your kids grow up. To those that have seen their children go from being babies to graduation at high school, you say to yourself where does the time go? Life is short. Why would an athiest hate someone that said, there is more than this dismal life. One reason, sin, they are blind. Some people would rather sin a short time than to live for eternity. It's like anyone that engages in casual sex today (fornication) is playing russian roulett. Whether you believe it or not God is about to unleash his wrath upon the world. But we still have an escape, Jesus Christ, died on a cross for you and me to not have to perish. What will that day be like? We are given warnings. One of the biggest super volcanos is in our own back yard, Yellowstone National Park is a ticking time bomb. If I were an athiest I'd be worried about this, very. This could destroy most of Amercia, it very likely would be enough to pinch its little brother in California and blow it up to, which could be enough to rattle many other super volcano's and vertually end life on earth in a few short months. As I am a Christian I am not worried about this I know that God is in control. The stage is being set for a socialistic one world government. If you don't believe it, you are not keeping up with current events. There will be a third world war, and there will be super volcanos erupting. We are truly living in the last days, and very close to the last few years on earth I truly believe this. I do not think that anything will happen in 2012, well not the end of the world anyway. The Bowl or vial plagues could be a result of a super volcano that will poison all the waters of the ocean and all the fountains and springs, Great hail, darkness, earthquakes, lightnings and thunderings. The sun not giving her light, and the moon turning to blood. If one were to read about the effects of volcanos and re-read the the bowl plagues or the plagues upon Egypt, or the story of Sodem and Gomorah you they sound far to similiar. God at the appointed time will set all things in motion. He may have already. For these things will happen at the appointed time, there is no stopping it. MATTHEW 24:36-44 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. The scripture here is not talking about a secret rapture, but the 2nd coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. It will take the world by surprise. The tribulation will hit hard and fast all the sudden. MATTHEW 24:29-31 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. The last of the 7 trumpets will sound and then shall his elect be gathered together. I CORINTHIANS 15:51-57 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

It's a mistake

Ever made a mistake? I haven't, never, lol. Of course I have, many. Do I still? no of course not.... Lol, yes, everyday. Sometimes the "Oh I shouldn't have ate that, or I shouldn't have had dessert or seconds. Life comes around and we make many mistakes, it's part of life and part of growing. Everyone no matter how devout makes a mistake, slips up, after all we are only human. That is both true but can also be a mistake in and of itself. Many of us lightly make mistakes and laugh them off, with I'm only human, yet we make the same mistakes again and again. That is not only inhuman but stupid. If you eat to much this time, you should have learned not to each to much the second time, if you keep on eating to much your a fool, and your gonna get fat. Here is another good one, you make a huge mistake, say like having sex with someone on the first date or even worse cheat on someone. This is a bad mistake that can destroy families, break hearts and cause deep rooted harm. Some people believe a mistake is a mistake not matter what the mistake, they are equal, this is both true and false, odviously some mistakes are worse than others. Stealing a candy bar is far worse than robbing a store or bank at gun point. The candy bar thief will get a slap on the hand, the other will probably do hard time. There most assurdely was no one effected by the person taking a candy bar, but the trauma created by the one putting a gun in someones face may effect that person for the rest of their life. Still we can all learn from mistakes, small or great. Is the candy bar thief a worse person than the latter, well it depends on the circumstances. Why was the person at the point of thinking that there was no other way but taking something that wasn't theres. Regardless, a mistake has been made. No matter how great or small, the mistake must be looked at. Why was the mistake made? What can we do to assure that this mistake will not be made again? Was anyone else hurt by our mistake? If so we must deal with the people that we hurt. Apologies are in order. What was wrong, must be made right. Even the one stealing from the store should attempt an apology. An adulterous woman, who because of her adultry destroyed a family, broke someone's heart and caused her own children to feel displaced all through their childhood. One of her children stood up to her at the time of adulthood and said Mom I hate you for what you did. The mother had voiced that she felt regret in life, and was sorry for somethings she did in the past, but fumed greatly, "How long do I have to pay for this mistake." That is a good question, how long should she pay? I believe the issue though is not that she should pay at all but that she should realize what she has done and how it has effected those around her. The answer is rather how can she make things right. She has probably felt guilt and remorse, but that doesn't make it right. What then does? How can you make this right? It's wrong all the way around. The first husband had moved on, his heart had healed and had no desire to be with this woman again. She married the man, an adulterous marriage that would never be recognized by God, that is another good question, she is now married to the man she committed adultry with. Should she divorce him? I'd say give it to God. This is a hard question. Jesus said if one divorces one and marries another they have committed adultry, so how can she make this right. Jesus himself said, What is impossible for man is possible through God. Prayer is in order, I do not have the answer for this one. God and God alone will show this woman what to do. But she must look at herself, asking herself why she did this, what can she do to assure that this will never happen again and if she hurt anyone, she must deal with those she hurt. Apologies are in order. Sincere apologies, it must be buried by everyone involoved, so that everyone can move on. If it's never really been put to rest it's rotting above the ground in the hearts of everyone that it effected. Granted, once you have dealt with it, those you have hurt may not recognize your apology. In this occurance, you must exam if you are really sorry, if you genuinly feel repentent, if your apology is actually sincere. If it is then let it go you are free, they are the ones that have a problem, however if you are not sincere, that may be why your apology was not accepted and this is why you should re-exam your apology. If you are not sincere, you will be haunted your entire life, your own concience will not let it go and will condemn you till judgment day, and then you yourself will condemn yourself and you cannot run from yourself. Look into your hearts today, when you think about Jesus or about the day of judgment do you feel ready to meet him or do you feel condemned. The world is vastly turning away from God because it is accepting it's mistakes instead of making them right. Don't accept your mistake. That is a mistake.

Two things come to my mind at this moment. One of Robin Williams early movies the world according to Garp, a funny but rather odd movie.

L I F E: the board game. A fun, but totally unrealistic, game about life.

Life in general: You are born, your a baby, this period doesn't last long, then you are a kid. Then come the teens. Being a teenager sucks, although needed, it is an awkward time in life. You start the teens as a child and in just a very, very few years your an adult. These years define who you are and what you will become.

Many people have all the glory they are ever going to have during these years, and many more have the worst memories they'd rather forget and wouldn't repeat the teens again for anything. You start by adoring your parents to utterly hating them by the time you graduate high school. No matter how cool of a parent you think you are, at least one of your children, for a short time, will hate your guts. Some parents deserve this, most however do not.

What are your ideas? You start your teens still watching cartoons, playing video games, playing ball, maybe even barbies and you end the teens with sex, drugs, and rock and roll. Well not everyone, but you can see that something happens here. I will say this again as I have said it before, public schools are the worst thing to happen to America and to the family unit. Go back to your kids hating you. Most kids learn to hate their parents, from school. No they are not taught it. But you throw, the over achievers in with the under achievers and those many, many others that feel like they don't belong. It is during these teen years that clicks begin. Don't be surprised to find out, your daughter says she is bi, or your son has smoked pot, or teen suicide, all things that come from public school. Sex, drugs and rock and roll. No it's not taught in schools, it's achieved by someone they hang with. Is every parent a model parent? NO! And you are throwing your kids in the room with dislocated families that have massive problems and will teach them to your kids.

Back to sex, drugs and rock and roll. I personally don't have anything against rock and roll, well most of it. Hey I play rock and roll, you can find good and evil in all types of music, so use decretion. Kids do pay attention to what they hear, and things get in their brain whether they think about it or not. There are songs about girls kissing girls, songs about doing "it"! Not to mention songs about everything under the sun. I believe in freedom of expression, but I also believe in descretion, The TV is filled with ads promoting sin after sin, on commercials and on the shows.

This is the time when young people plan they're future. A career, marriage, family. If they survive their teens. Most do, but more and more teens are so screwed up because of their teens that it effects the rest of their lives.

It should be simple, but the adults keep making things more difficult for the next generation. Why because people are greedy. We want more. Life has become about getting the best job you can to make the most money you can. We are so greedy it makes me sick. A job should be something you love, that you do to support your family to raise your children so they can buy a home and raise a family. That is basically what life is about, finding a mate and raising a family, in a nut shell. It's not about becoming a millionaire, or a rock star, or about sleeping with as many people as you can.

I cannot believe how much a house costs. Everyone used to be able to buy a house, but what happened? We got greedy, we wanted more!!! More of what? Your kids are going to move home, it would make more sense to downsize, but NOOOOOOO! We still want more!

Why is it hard to find jobs? Because we keep trying to make jobs simplier so we can sit on our butts and get rich, but not everybody gets rich, only the select few.

What is God's plan? What is our purpose in life? It's simple really. We always look for things to be more complicated, even bible scholars tend to over look the odvious. To know God. Jesus said take no thought for the things of tomorrow. If you do, guess what? You are not trusting God. We beat up our kids with the idea to go to college and make something of themselves. I'd say your beating them up with the wrong thing. Teach them rather to trust God. Let God guide their footsteps.

We worry about relationships, we wonder if we are with the right person. I'd say if your with that person it's God's will, shut up and leave God alone. We sabotage relationships because we think we may have taken a wrong turn. It was God's plan that Joseph be sold into slavery, it was God's plan for him to be accused of a wrong doing and placed in prison. God brought him out and God made him ruler over Egypt, second only to Pharoh king of Egypt. He didn't go to college, he didn't advance in some company, God took him from a prison one day to a palace the very next day. He was given a wife, he didn't go and seek her out, God handed it to him. What can this world give you? Will it not pass away as the dust? Take no thought for what you will wear? said Jesus or what you will eat, or anything. Trust God. That's what life is about.. I've had women leave me over and again, because I'm a musician and I don't make great leaps and bounds of cash. I may never, but I want for nothing, my needs are always met, sometimes miraculously.

I want more for my music, but not for the money. I don't want to be rich, I just want to be loved. I want to preach the word, I want to see people saved and give their life to Jesus. I had times where I didn't trust God. Don't put your faith in riches, put them in God. God will not leave you nor forake you, it's those times when the waves pile up and we cannot see the Lord that we doubt, and many at this time turn away. Or leave someone, for the grass is always greener on the other side. But if we wait we will see the Lord walk upon the water. But sometimes we have to go through the storm before we realize that God brought us through the storm.

Ultimatley you will spend most of your life as an adult, a process that starts you aging year after year, watching others grow old you to will grow old and die! This is where you are headed. Death, all the money in the world will not stop this. Money can buy you a few face lifts, maybe prolong your life a little, but your still gonna die, and if you never trusted God, you'll die in your sins. Thought there are those that think you can, you cannot buy your salvation, you can't even put it on lay-away. It's a gift, ACTS 2:38-9

MATTHEW 6:24-34

No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Mums the word

This is a subject that no one likes to talk about, me either. Some Christians never mention it, or even believe in it. Many people condemn Christianity for condemning the world to Hell, which is definatley not true. Though there are those that condemn, Christians are actually those that have been saved from it, I am talking about Hell, a true Christian that is, we'll get into that later. And are warning others of this coming doom. Here is a fact you can believe in, death, we've seen it, will see it and all know some one that has or will die, and unless the Lord tarries, you will die too, as will I. You will leave your body, your body will be either destroyed by fire, (cremation) or put in a box and stuffed in the ground. Why? Because your body will rot, that same body that you look at so many time in the mirror, fixing your hair, brushing your teeth, stuffing your face will one day die, and rot just like spoiled meat. I'm not trying to sound harsh, I just want you to see your mortality. Your going to die, and so am I, maybe not today or tomorrow, but one day, within the next 50-70 years. That is a fact that you cannot escape. It's Halloween time, the stores are stalked with skulls and zombies, witches, werewovles and vampires. All things, that in our mind, that represent evil. This is both true and false, Halloween's main theme seems to be death and the obsession with it, I am not condemning Halloween, which means Holy eve, which was so given the name by the Catholic Church, not the ancient Druids. Halloween was an attempt to Christianize an already pagan Irish celebration., much the same way Christmas replaced the celebration of the winter soltice. Does this mean as Christians we are celebrating a pagen holiday and thus worshipping the devil? ROMANS 14:6-8He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks. For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself. For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's. If Halloween to you is a night or horror and of trickery, or a pagan holiday, then you shouldn't participate in it, if you call yourself a Christian, but if the night to you is a day to honor Christ and a tool to spread the gospel then no. I watch classic monster movies, I have a giant Frankenstien monster I put on my porch, I don't put up skeletons or zombies or vampires or witches or demons. Not that I'm saying any of that is evil, but it does in some way represent evil in our minds. I have always allowed my children to participate in trick or treating, I've tried to influence them to more wholesome costumes, I don't think there is anything wrong with Halloween parties or trick or treating, which by the way is pretty much an american custom, there are many fables about where it came from, but trick or treating itself was started in the early 1900's for american kids. I don't have anything against people that give out tracts on Halloween, but I'd bundle it up with a huge candy bar, (better chance of it being read). I mean c'mon, I'd be disapointed, lol. This is what the kids are expecting and Satan isn't passing out candy, people are. Do I think Halloween is Satanic? It can be, and yes does seem to be more and more so, but it wasn't when I was a kid. Yes, it's becoming more and more evil, but so is the world, and it's not going to go away. I don't have anything against harvest parties, but my opinion of it is the world is celebrating Halloween, which like I said was already given it's name for the night before All St's day centuries ago. It's time to actually celebrate Halloween and show the world what it's all about. Their are those that are trying to get you to stop celebrate Christmas as well. Like I said, yes it did replace pagen holiday, and paganism was pretty much for a time defeated, but we do live in the last days, which is why I said previously, if the Lord tarries. I do not want to scare anyone that we are living in the last days, but we are. I have had a feeling since I was a teen that I wouldn't see death but in fact would see the Lord return, even before I became a born again Christian. I'm getting off topic, Hell aint cool, Hell makes a good Halloween theme, I think. It's scarey, morbid, and doom related, yet most people, even those engrossed in the gore of Halloween, either are offended or avoid this subject. Why? Because it's a reminder of what is going to happen. If it were not so, it would not bother people, but deep down we all know it's true. No one likes to talk about Hell, the subject will change rather fast. People are AntiChrist more and more, because Jesus is a light that exposes their sin. It is sin, not Christ that condemns us to Hell, Christ is actually the only escape, and I mean the "ONLY" escape from Hell. We are born into sin, and we are tempted of Satan, and when we sin sin becomes our master. Anyone ever been addicted to anything, I myself have struggled with pornography, it's addictive, sin becomes your master and controls you and beats you down. Homosexuals are very truthful in saying they cannot help the way they are, sin has become their master. ROMANS 6:16Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? To say that God has made someone gay, is like saying God made someone a child molester or a murderer or an adulterer. God gave us free will, that is clearly not free will if someone is born a certain way. Homosexuality like any other "SIN" it's is a choice. Someone is tempted, takes a bite and falls into it, much as Darth Vader was misled by Darth Sidious, yes I'm using a Star Wars anology, deal with it... ISAIAH 5:13-16Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst. Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it. And the mean man shall be brought down, and the mighty man shall be humbled, and the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled: But the LORD of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, and God that is holy shall be sanctified in righteousness. We are a world born into sin, and the only way out is Jesus Christ. JOHN 3:16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. JOHN 14:6Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. JOHN 7:37-39In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.) How is this applied? There are many theories, the most common is that by accepting Jesus as your Lord and savior this is applied, this is true to a point, but actually wrong and misleading. This is the current message preached in contemporary Christianity, but is not biblical. For Jesus said:(JOHN 3:3) Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. JOHN 3:4-5 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. Many a mislead Christian will have you believe that the water mentioned here is the water in which we are born through a fleshly birth and the spirit mentioned here is when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, Don't get me wrong, Jesus is my Lord and Savior, that is very much a part of salvation, but only the beginning. Why did John (the baptist) come baptizing, and even the deciples of Christ continued baptizing long after John, and even rebaptized some of his converts (ACTS 19:1-6) if baptism wasn't part of the process of salvation. I PETER 3:21The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: The answer is simple a dead man cannot sin, he's dead, he's buried in the dust of the earth. A thief will never steal again, a murderer will never kill again, an adulterer will never cheat again, a homosexual will never again commit a homosexual act, a child molester will never again harm another child, and a sinner of any kind will never sin again once he is dead. Baptism is a symbol not of our commitment to Christ, but of our buriel, when we turn to Christ we die to this world, to sin, to every sin. ROMANS 6:3Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? ROMANS 6:4-7Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin. ROMANS 6:8-12Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. ROMANS 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. ACTS 2:37-39Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call. ISAIAH 1:18-20Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

JOHN 15:16-25

Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. These things I command you, that ye love one another. If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.

But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me.

If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloak for their sin. He that hateth me hateth my Father also. If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father. But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.

When as a young Christian I first read passages such as this one above. I for one didn't really think to much about it. I didn't really like it. Why? because it talked about persecution. I must say I'm not good at handling being persecuted. And up till recently I haven't really experienced it. Their are about four kinds of Christians. First there are those that claim to be Christians but are they? They're are false Christians different from the first, as those are people that just believe they are Christian. But in no way act like one. They party, they smoke pot, they live in the world as if their had been no change in them. Then there are the wolves in sheep's clothing. These are the Christians that give Christians a bad name. They are usually Christian leaders that control their flocks, make unrealistic demands on them and beat them up with the bible and get rich off ordering people to give them money. These first two are not really Christians, and actually will turn and persecute real believers. Then They're are Christians like me or like I used to be that live for God, occasionally fall short of the mark, but don't bother other people and just go about life, living and let living. Of true believers, the world will tolerate this kind of Christian. This is not a luke warm Christian. This is your average Christian. This is the Christian that rooted up, but the things of this world have choked it and they became unfruitful. This was me. I became unfruitful. For many years I didn't cross the line. I kept my mouth shut. I don't like confrontation.

God will eventually push you out of this spot. He did me. And I became this last type of Christian. What will happen is God will light a fire in your soul. It happens initially with the baptism of the Holy Ghost, but then the weeds spring up. The weeds are the things of this life. This thing and that. Problems, bills, children, life in general. I'm not saying any of these things are bad not that weeds are not always just normal things. Some weeds and the most harmful of course are. What happens is they one by one take your focus off the things of God and place your thoughts back on the world. How the world views things instead of how God views things. And we begin to stumble, we begin to let the world and it's views start to influence us. There are many people in the world and non without a voice. And everyone is trying to be heard. Here is the thing, most of the world hates God and the things of God.

JOHN 7:7

The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.

These are the words of Jesus. Wow! pretty powerful.

When we step out and start telling the world about Jesus, the rulers of darkness, of whom this world is currently under the influence of, start to get uncomfortable. Satan wants to shut you up!

He doesn't want you to go about preaching Jesus. Why? Because people will hear the truth and be saved. Watch people's reaction to Jesus. People get hostile. Why? Because they are in darkness.

Some have been hurt by those wolves in sheep's clothing. And many sincere Christians suffer their wrath. But someone that truly knew God will know that they were hurt by a wolf and wont blame God or a sincere Christian. Does that mean that even the most sincerest of Christians cannot make mistakes? No, the most sincere can and will make mistakes, yet the world will never forget even the smallest infraction or mistake made. It will forever point it's fingers justifying itself because you made a mistake.

The more one stands up for the bible, stands up against immorality, stands up for Jesus the more that person will be persecuted by the world.

JOHN 15:19-20

If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.

JOHN 3:16-21

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

JOHN 16:33

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

The Great Lie

I JOHN 4:2-3 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. I can honastly I had not really encounterd this before, well until latley. I have never been good at talking to those that don't believe in God. I surely don't hate those that don't believe, more and more people seem to not believe in God. I am not talking today about those that don't believe in God, but rather those that are Antichrist. There is surely a difference between a non-believer and an Antichrist. Athiesm, is the spirit of Antichrist. I used to believe that Athiesm just meant one that doesn't believe in God, but I was very, very wrong. An Athiest doesn't not believe in God, an Athiest wants to destroy God. They are very strongly coming against Christ. Some know the scriptures as well as any devout Christian, some infact are Christians that have somehow not only lost their faith but now are consumed with destroying Christianity. And unlike Christianity, which seems to be plagued with denonimal fence laws and varied interpretations, (a way Satan has tried to hide the truth, knowing he cannot destroy it) these Antichristians seem to be of a like mind. They say that they are just asking for proof, though the methods they use come off more as an attack, which actually an attempt to throw doudt into your faith. There is mountains of proof, but nothing will turn them, they only feel justified when they actually put a stumbling block before you. I am not saying that all non-believers are Antichrist, but a true Athiest is, if they simply have doudt they are agnostic, and are hoping for some kind of proof. We've all had moments of doudt, moments of anger at Christians or at Jesus himself. But most of us come back down and realise that we cannot blame God because of some bad moments in our lives, because of some bad Christians. Hello, even Jesus and the apostles warned us time and again telling us there would be those that would pervert the gospel. The bible is pretty much as it was in the first century, yet there are those that keep insisting that the bible has been, re-translated so many times that it very inaccurate. This is just plain not true. Only in this past century has it been retranslated hundreds of times. For the most part the bible was in it's origanal languages until it was translated into English by King James in the 1600's. And most newer translations are very minor in differences, and nothing doctrinal has ever been different in any of the texts. If anyone disagrees with me, then do your homework. The bible, unlike many different Christian beliefs, hasn't changed doctrinallly sinceundefinedin modern Christianity that can be proven wrong if one were to study scripture. Again if you don't agree, then do your homework. Atheism is the spirit of Antichrist that is here to pave the way of the coming man of sin, the Antichrist. There are many lies in the world today. What is a lie? noun a false statement made with deliberate intent to deceive; an intentional untruth; a falsehood. something intended or serving to convey a false impression; imposture: His flashy car was a lie that deceived no one. an inaccurate or false statement. the charge or accusation of lying: He flung the lie back at his accusers. JOHN 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. I JOHN 2:22-23 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also. We live in a time of great deception. A time of untruth, a time of self indulgence and sin. The time of the end? II TIMOTHY 3:1-7 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. An athiest is very intelligant, many know scripture, many have degree after degree under their belt, but they they are never able to come to the knowlege of the truth. I CORINTHIANS 1:20-29 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence. THE GREAT LIE: II THESSALONIANS 2:7-12 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. There are many that believe this wont happen till the Church is raptured out, (taken away by Jesus just before the 7 year tribulation).I have news for you, this is already here. II THESSALONIANS 2:1-4 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. That falling away is a witness to the world and is today.Christianity is decreasing, homosexuality which was once seen as perversion is increasing with lies that people are born this way. Everyone makes a choice in life, and we all will be judged according to the choices we make, when we stand in front of God we will have no excuses. So we all need to decide whether to believe a lie, or believe God. Athiesm is increasing, the world is on a fast track of evil. The thing to remeber is God is allowing this to happen. I find it interesting to watch the Omen (movie series) and these devout men are trying to kill the Antichrist and yet it's God's will for this to come about. BEWARE: This spirit of Antichrist is a deception that is like a disease it will destroy your soul. This is a strong delusion and God will allow you to be deceived if you have not a love for the truth. (II Thessalonians 2:12-That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.) PSALM 14:1-4 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD.

Time is ticking away

Time: I can remember as a child waiting for Christmas. It seemed to take forever. School years seemed long, everything seemed to last. Not so today. Time goes by rather quickly. In the past twenty years I have watched my children literally grow up right before my eyes. Those who don't know raising kids is hard, but it goes by too fast. And they are gone out on their own. Getting married and having children of their own. The older I get the more I realize life is not very long. I regret getting married so young, yet I don't regret my children. I remember good times with my ex-wife, as with all the women I've had the pleasure of knowing. I for the life of me don't understand women though. The truth is my last few relationships actually makes my last marriage look good, and that is scary. Well excpet for her cheating and humiliating me. I've actually stayed away from a few women that I thought wouldn't last and the ones I did get involved with didn't last. I guess what it boils down to is moments. I had good moments with all those women. Bad moments too. I really would like to have a meaningful relationship with a woman of substance, but I am beginning to think she doesn't exist. I've met good women, but they've been married for 10 years, and I am not going to go after a married woman. To many reasons not to. One: I've had it done to me, two: Adultry is a sin that will keep you from heaven. Three: you could get killed. I want to hopefully meet the right woman, get married. Share a life. I guess it will happen when it's right. I have to laugh at some people I know that desperatley desire to be in a relationship and when they are given one, they push that person right out of their life. Then they fall on their knees and tell God how lonley they are. They ask God for a mate and God replies I sent you someone and you pushed them away. It reminds me of that story where the man floating on the raft asks God to save him. A ship comes by and offers him a ride, he tells them he is waiting for God. Then a helicopter comes by, lowers a ladder and tells him to grab ahold. The man says God is going to rescue me. The man dies, and gets to heaven and says God why didn't you save me. God then looks at the man and says "Excuse me, I sent you a boat and then I sent you a helicopter." The died because he was to blind to see that God had already sent him what he needed. I've known several women that are constantly looking for something better. The bigger, better deal. They will stick with you only til something better comes along. A dear friend of mine was a drummer he killed himself in 1996. I realized when that happened that life was short. And tomorrow had come. It's been almost 14 years since that day. I saw him just a week before that, I talked to him the night before. Ever watch a movie of an actor that has been dead for 30 years. It' mind boggling. We, all of us, take time for granted. Everyday seems to go on just like the rest, then all the sudden we are burying a loved one. No one likes to think of death, but each day we inch just a little bit closer. It's funny to think that hours, days, minutes, years, weeks, don't mean anything we make plans we do things, we set aside, we say just a minute, or I'll do it tomorrow a lot. And one day, is that day, the day we die. It isn't anything most of us plan for. We go to sleep the night before just like always, and wake up with plans of doing something and low and behold something happens during that day, and you die. Your life is done. Not one more dollar to be earned, no matter how rich or poor you are your minute had come, your hour of death. I truly believe that we are either very close or in the early stages of the end times. Something in my spirit is telling me the time is very near. Those of us that are alive and remain are actually going to see the Lord. This blows my mind. I sometimes go out and look in the sky knowing that someday, and not in the to distant future I am going to see the Lord coming on the clouds of glory. I think every Christian really needs to think about this, it's really going to happen. I think we as Christians sometimes don't realize how close this day is upon us. The point is, if your not right with God get right. I think everyone reading this knows what they need to do. You can feel it burning in the pit of your stomach, you can feel the Lord speaking to you what you need to do. If you have a chance at love, take it. Don't let it slip away as all of us have at one point or another. If you have a chance to forgive someone today. Forgive them, if you've done one person wrong today, ask their forgiveness. And I think those reading this know who they have done wrong. If you knew this was your last day, what would you do today? If there is something you need to do, do it. You may not get another chance. Tomorrow may be to late.
